With the World Series of Darts Finals taking place in September, the line-up will be all but confirmed after the
New South Wales Darts Masters concludes. The
schedule is confirmed for Saturday with the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Final and Final set to take place.
First up sees
Gerwyn Price face off with Damon Heta. The former defeated Harley Kemp in a 6-2 win, but it was 'The Heat' who impressed the most with his crowd pleasing walk-on. He followed that up with a 106 average over Joe Comito.
Dimitri van den Bergh thrashed Dave Marland to open up Friday's session. He faces Simon Whitlock who was the only technically local representative who won through seeing off Nathan Aspinall in a thrilling decider.
In the other half,
Michael Smith and
Peter Wright will battle it out before Rob Cross and Danny Noppert conclude the Quarter-Final line-up. The victors will then face off in the semi-finals then final.
Where can I watch the New South Wales Darts Masters?
The New South Wales Darts Masters consists of two sessions. On Friday, the first round will be played from 9:55a.m. to 2:30p.m. UK time. Here, the eight PDC top players will take on the eight local players from Australia and New Zealand. On ITV 4 however this session will be shown 7pm - 11pm on Friday evening.
The quarter-finals will take place on Saturday morning starting at 9:55 a.m. Following that, the semifinals and finals will be completed. Around 2:30 p.m. we will then know who is the winner of the New South Wales Darts Masters. For ITV viewers, coverage will be 5pm - 9pm. As always, those with a PDCTV subscription can watch it in full live.
How much prize money is to be won?
The prize pool for this event contains a total of £60,000. However, the prize money won prize money does not count toward the PDC Order of Merit or other money rankings.
All participants are guaranteed £1,250 in prize money. This amount could eventually rise to a sum of £20,000 in prize money for the winner.
