Schindler into first PDC ranking final at Players Championship 8, set to face Van Gerwen

Martin Schindler after nearly completing the feat last weekend is into his maiden PDC ranking final after a 7-2 rout against Adrian Lewis at Players Championship 8.

Schindler spurned his chance against Jim Williams who went on to become the latest new winner on the PDC Tour. He will look to do the same.

But will have a big task on his hands as he faces World Number Three, Michael van Gerwen who edged past Luke Humphries 7-5 completing it with a 113 checkout after a 97.5 average.

'Mighty Mike' went out early to Gary Blades yesterday and will be hungry to underline his return and join Gerwyn Price in the winners' circle but can 'The Wall' produce any resistence?
