Scott Williams and
Ross Smith are the first two players to qualify for the third round at the
European Darts Grand Prix. They return to the stage on Sunday afternoon for the final day of the Euro Tour tournament in Sindelfingen.
Williams was victorious over Krzysztof Ratajski in the opening match. A 14-darter gave 'Shaggy' a 2-0 lead and moments later it was 3-1 via an 86 finish. However, with a 15-darter and a 60 finish, Ratajski then came back to 3-3. The following legs went with the darts, until Ratajski missed two darts on the doubles in the 10th leg. Williams seized this gift with a 14-darter for the win.
Smith recorded a victory over compatriot Luke Woodhouse. After trailing 0-1, he managed to take a 4-1 lead thanks to two 13-darters and a 10-darter. Woodhouse made it 4-2, before Smith then decided the match with a 58 finish and a 13-darter.
