Seeded players and qualifiers entries for European Darts Matchplay confirmed

The seeded players and qualifier entries have been revealed for the European Darts Matchplay with the event set to take place in Mannheim on the first weekend of September.

Despite that, the seeds have been announced and the qualifiers will take place this weekend. Michael van Gerwen will return to the European Tour as number one seed after taking the last few events off.

He will look to retain his dominance that he had in the early part of the season but will have the likes of Ian White, Gerwyn Price and Daryl Gurney who themselves have shown form on the European Tour looking for that top spot.

Rob Cross has had a fall down to 12th in the seedings for this event after deciding to miss the one the week before in the form of the Austrian Darts Championship. Glen Durrant will also be seeded for the first time.

Steve Beaton has fallen out of the seedings so is back looking to continue his perfect run of qualification and is joined by the likes of Simon Whitlock, Michael Smith and Jamie Hughes. These qualifiers will take place in Hildesheim.
