Fallon Sherrock's fairytale run at the
Grand Slam of Darts is over with Peter Wright accounting for the Queen of the Palace in a 16-13 win for 'Snakebite'.
Wright now goes onto face Michael Smith and facing the media post match, Sherrock was gutted but looking forward with confidence to Ally Pally.
"Obviously I'm gutted to lose. I tried my best and obviously my best wasn't good enough tonight. I'm going to take that game and think if I can push one of the best in the world, I'm going to take it to Ally Pally and hopefully do really well there," said Sherrock post match.
"I think I'll look back and think if only them doubles went in but at the same time, some of them doubles were just on the wire and if they're meant to go in and if they're not meant to go in, they'll sit on the wire."
Ticking off the achievements and World Darts Championship
Sherrock said also it is an achievement to definitely tick off and gives her confidence that she can have a run next month on her return to the Palace.
"It's definitely an achievement for me and I'm definitely going to tick it off on one of my boxes but I'm absolutely knackered now. I gave it all and my back really hurts now."
"I'm going into Ally Pally with so much confidence, if I didn't go into Ally Pally with some confidence, there's something wrong because I know I'm playing well an I know I can push these players. Hopefully fingers crossed I can get over the line there."
