Smith looks for further World Series success Down Under: "I am getting sick and tired of not doing what I know I am capable of"

Michael Smith heads into the latest set of World Series of Darts tournaments with clear goals in mind and that is to come back at least with a title from the trio of tournaments in Australia and New Zealand.

“If I don’t come back with a title I will be disappointed,” admitted Smith.

“I want to win at least one title and be the number one seed going into the World Series Finals in Amsterdam.

“I want to perform wherever I go. It’s important that I play well because I know what I can do.”

It has been a superb year so far at times for Smith who has sealed multiple ProTour, European Tour and World Series titles but his wait goes on for a maiden TV ranking title.

“I am getting sick and tired of not doing what I know I am capable of,” added the world number four.

“I am no longer playing for myself. I am playing for my kids' futures.

“That's why I do get annoyed when I get beaten.”
