Smith produces whitewash win over Van Duivenbode, Humphries edges past Boulton

Smith started the night with a 5-0 whitewash win over Mike van Duivenbode which saw 'Bully Boy' hit a 97.6 average and 5/9 on the doubles as the former World Championship finalist looks to win through to the second round like all other competitors in one of the remaining second chance groups.

Humphries came through a brilliant tie with Andy Boulton following that with both players playing their part but it was 'Cool Hand' who came through in a tie which featured nine holds of throw in a 5-4 win with two 180's and a 100.8 average.

Boulton though got his reward in the requisite tie seeing off Van Duivenbode surviving a comeback from 4-2 down to do so. The Dutchman threw for the match but a poor final leg saw 'X Factor' add two points with a 103.5 average in the tie.

Every evening, the four players will each face off; with each match being the best of nine legs. This group stage lasts 32 days with that amount of players set to reach the next round to play it out from there to crown a winner. All players have webcams set up in their houses and say their scores out loud; to make sure that they can be inputted correctly without any cheating taking place.

With each night’s action commencing at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.
