The semi-finals are confirmed at Players Championship 16 as two of the big names in the field this week face two rising talents in Niedernhausen.
Those two big names are Dirk van Duijvenbode who put an end to Luke Humphries' 13 game winning streak with 'Cool Hand' not appearing since he triumphed at the European Darts Grand Prix but it is 'The Titan' who sealed a 6-4 victory.
While Michael Smith is looking for three ProTour titles in a row as the form man in World Darts right now continues his dazzling form. He averaged 103 in seeing off another player who has produced some superb form this season so far in Andrew Gilding 6-2.
They will face Keane Barry for Van Duijvenbode who ended the best run in a while for John Henderson, while in a tasty tie, it is Josh Rock that awaits Smith with both standing out on the Development Tour this season and showing that form once more at senior level.
