Standings in Groups A-B-C-D at 2021 Grand Slam of Darts after second group games

On Sunday afternoon, the second group matches in Groups A-D were concluded at the Grand Slam of Darts with two players assured of their spots in the Last 16.

The last of these matches will be played on Monday evening with Gerwyn Price and Ryan Joyce already through.

Price in Group A is on four points and a superior leg difference, while Martin Schindler is already out of the reckoning. Nathan Rafferty and Krzysztof Ratajski are on two points and will battle it out for the final spot on Monday.

Also in Group B there is a Welshman in the lead, namely Jonny Clayton. However, after two wins, The Ferret is not quite sure of a place in the second round. Clayton needs two legs in his last game against King to continue definitively, while King very likely needs to win to have a chance to pass Bradley Brooks. Brooks faces winless Rusty-Jake Rodriguez in the third group match.

Rob Cross has the best chance in Group C. The former world champion won his first two matches against Boris Krcmar and Jim Williams. However, with another match against James Wade ahead of him, Cross is not yet certain of a place in the last sixteen.

Wade will compete with Williams for second place. Williams still plays against number four Boris Krcmar and has to hope that he gets a better result against Krcmar than Wade against Cross.

In Group D, Ryan Joyce is already certain of a place in the second round after victories against Stephen Bunting and Rowby-John Rodriguez, while Chris Dobey already knows he will not make it through the group stage. Bunting and Rodriguez meet, with the winner of this match going through to the knockout phase together with Joyce.
