Standings in Groups E-F-G-H at Grand Slam of Darts after first group matches

The first group matches were played in Groups E-F-G-H on Saturday afternoon with the winners and losers set to face off on Sunday afternoon as a result of today's action.

In Group E, Peter Wright breezed past Fallon Sherrock in a 5-1 triumph not giving any chance for a potential fairytale for the fans' favourite.

While Gabriel Clemens sits exactly the same both in terms of points and leg difference after seeing off Mike de Decker. Harbouring memories of their World Championship clash which Clemens won last year, he will hope to do the same again on Sunday.

In Group F, Jose de Sousa kicked off his title defence by easing past Matt Campbell in a 5-1 win in what was touted as potentially a closer tie on paper. He now faces Mensur Suljovic who came through a quality affair with Luke Humphries. A potential tie of the session tomorrow.

While in Group G, Michael van Gerwen and Joe Cullen will renew their rivalry. Producing brilliant matches including their World Championship epic and the recent ProTour barnstormer, Cullen will hope it is a similar result to the latter.

He stormed past John Henderson without reply after Van Gerwen had just done the same in double quick time against Lisa Ashton.

In Group H finally, Gary Anderson tops the standings after easing past a struggling Joe Davis. Master meets protege again as Michael Smith will be his next opponent.
