Stephen Bunting is into his first televised PDC final, after an 11-1 demolition of
Nathan Aspinall in the
Masters semi-final.
After knocking out Luke Humphries and Peter Wright already this tournament, Bunting was keen to add another Premier League scalp to his name and 'the Bullet' made a near perfect start. Racing through the first session, Bunting took out 116, a ninth ton-plus checkout of the tournament, to head off stage 4-1 ahead.
The relentless Bunting continued to power towards his first PDC TV final, sweeping the second session in five straight legs, including two more ton-plus finishes as he stretched his lead to an incredible 9-1 with his average just short of the 100 mark.
He hadn't hit a 180 yet though, that was until his first three darts of the third session. Cleaning up that leg despite some double trouble, Bunting then ruthlessly nailed 81 in two darts in the following leg to seal the most comfortable of semi-final wins.
