Striking: Chisnall eliminated fifth time in six years at World Darts Championship by opponent scoring above 100 average

For Dave Chisnall, the PDC World Darts Championship has come to an end in the third round. 'Chizzy' lost 4-2 to Stephen Bunting.

Chisnall, who himself averaged 101.82, had little to reproach himself against Bunting, who played one of the best World Cup matches of his career with an average of 102.24.

It is the fifth time in six years that Chisnall has lost at the World Championship to an opponent who recorded an average above 100. Only in the 2018, when he went down at the last 64 against Vincent van der Voort, did his opponent fail to reach that magic mark of 100 with 98.90.
