Luke Humphries is looking for his second straight night win in
Premier League Darts 2024. In Nottingham this Thursday night, he will take on Michael Smith in the quarter-finals.
Humphries was too strong for the same Smith in the final last week in Brighton, 6-3. It was his first weekly title in Premier League Darts, in the standings he has advanced to second place, three points off leader Michael van Gerwen.
"My target this season is just to be in the top four, whether thatโs first or fourth," said Humphries, who is playing at a 102 average in Premier League Darts. "There are eight fantastic players in this tournament, but I really want to make Finals Night; that would be a massive achievement for me."
"If it doesnโt happen, it doesnโt happen," continued 'Cool Hand Luke'. "Itโs my first year in the Premier League and itโs all about experience and learning, but Iโm loving every minute of it. To be involved in the Premier League is a privilege. I donโt feel like a debutant. I feel like Iโve been doing this for about five years."
