Cieran Teehan has claimed a maiden PDC Challenge Tour title after defeating Berry van Peer in the final at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.
Teehan had a tough route seeing off the likes of the experienced West Midlands ace, Nick Fullwell, Development Tour winner Shane McGuirk before seeing off the former World Youth Championship finalist.
It was also an important event in terms of the
Challenge Tour Order of Merit with Jesus Noguera at the end of the first event going to the top ahead of Cameron Menzies who will hope for better after a poor showing.
The Spaniard seems to be the fore runner to challenge 'Cammy' and so it will be interesting to see how both players do as the weekend continues.
