Stephen Bunting is from St Helens but will play in nearby Liverpool tomorrow in the Premier League Darts in front of his home fans and he spoke about wanting to show his personality to the fans.
Bunting is well known for having a YouTube, TikTok and various other social medias and said it's a big part of his brand and what he is about. He also is looking forward to the roar he will get in Liverpool.
"I think that's a dangerous path to go down and obviously you don't want to get the fans hating you. For me it's always been about showing my personality, showing what I'm about, showing something different," said Bunting as per Tungsten Tales.
"I know football rivalries aside people will boo and cheer for their favourites but for me it's always been about that and giving back to the fans. It's so important that Liverpool I know for a fact they will all be behind me."
Luke Littler posted that he won't be returning to Germany until Dortmund which would signal the European Championship and if that is the case, he would not make his World Cup of Darts debut next month.
But Bunting's face lit up at the potential of that as a knock-on effect. He said well he is now next in line to partner Luke Humphries if Littler does like Michael van Gerwen and snubs the event. Littler posted after losing out in Munich saying it was an event he didn't want to play in and won't be returning to Germany in the foreseeable until he has to at the end of the year.
"Luke has put a few posts up on social media about not going back to Germany. Well if he doesn't go back to Germany that means I'll be in the World Cup of Darts doesn't it."
