Forbes, a USA business magazine best known for the lists of companies, entrepreneurs and wealthy people it compiles each year, has included
Luke Littler in their prestigious "30 Under 30 Europe Sports & Games" list which highlights the young talents having the biggest impact on their respective sport.
Littler has been included in alongside the likes of English football players Jude Bellingham and Alessia Russo, F1 driver Lando Norris and Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr. The 17-year-old Englishman has quickly superseded the sport of darts since bursting onto the scene at the World Darts Championship, becoming a known name in the wider public consciousness.
"It’s one of them weird sports that’s not that popular," Littler responds to Forbes. "But I'm glad to say that I’ve made it a bit more popular."
Littler is still amazed that he has become so popular in such a short time. "The world’s gone mad,” Littler says. “You're standing there throwing some tungsten into a board and then you're winning yourself some money and you’re creating yourself some legacy.”
'The Nuke' returns to action tonight in Premier League Darts, where he will take on Rob Cross in the quarter-finals on the 11th day of play.
