These 55 players compete in the last gasp World Darts Championship Tour Card Qualifier on Monday

Before the draw for the PDC World Darts Championship is completed Monday evening, the very last qualifying tournament for the PDC World Darts Championship is scheduled on Monday afternoon. This tournament is open to PDC Tour Card holders who have not yet qualified for the tournament at Alexandra Palace.

The field of participants consists of 55 players. They may split the last three or four starting spots for the World Darts Championship. How many spots are actually at stake depends on Sunday night's PDC World Youth Championship final. That one will go between Gian van Veen and Jurjen van der Velde. The World Youth Champion will also receive an invitation to the World Darts Championship, but Van Veen already has one in his pocket. If he takes the title, an extra spot goes to the World Championship qualification tournament for Tour Card holders. In that case there are four spots to be distributed.

Among the participants Jeffrey de Zwaan, Jelle Klaasen, Maik Kuivenhoven, Geert Nentjes, Berry van Peer, Andy Baetens, Ronny Huybrechts, Mario Vandenbogaerde, Simon Whitlock, Rowby-John Rodriguez, Boris Krcmar, Steve Beaton, Keegan Brown, Mervyn King and Jose de Sousa who are aiming to qualify.

Nine playing Tour Card holders did not register for the qualifying tournament. These are Benjamin Drue Reus, Adrian Lewis, Leighton Bennett, Jacques Labre, Christian Perez, Jules van Dongen, Haupai Puha, Vincent van der Voort and Patrick Geeraets. Van der Voort is not fit enough to compete after surgery, while Lewis has not used his Tour Card for over a year and a half. Bennett is currently suspended.
