Some very sad news from America. Danny Baggish, former PDC World Darts Championship participant and Tour Card holder, has announced on social media that his baby has been diagnosed with leukemia. Since the news broke though, 'The Gambler' has been receiving messages of support from several notable names in the darts world.
"They say things happen for a reason. I can’t find the reason here," Baggish begins an emotional post on his X account (former Twitter). "I’m heartbroken, shattered and everything you can think of. I’m all over the place. Thank you to everyone that reached out. Our baby diagnosed with leukemia. Long fight ahead of us. Mommy and I love you so much."
As mentioned, it didn't take long for the messages of support to pour in. Australian Damon Heta, the world number eight, was among the first to respond. "I’m so sorry to hear mate that’s absolutely heartbreaking news to read," he wrote. "I’m here if you or the family need anything."
Luke Woodhouse also shared his condolences. "So sorry mate... horrible news and something a parent should never have to go through. Sending thoughts to your family," he said, with Paul Nicholson also offering support. "Loads of love sent to your family Danny. Be strong and we are all here if you need more."
From all associated with dartsnews.com, we would like to send our best wishes to Danny Baggish and family.
