Originally set to see another European Tour qualifier on the final day of the Super Series, the situation regarding Events Four and Five has yet to be confirmed so it will instead be replaced by a Players Championship.
This means in November, the PDC Super Series 8 will only feature three Players Championship tournaments alongside the Grand Slam qualifier on November 5.
As well now, August 9 will now only see two Associate Member qualifiers for future European Tour events in Budapest and Gibraltar.
"Whilst restrictions are beginning to ease in the UK and in some countries, there are still issues around travel both to and from many areas which have prevented us from confirming any further European Tour events so far," said PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter.
"We are continuing to work with our partners, however this has given us the opportunity to add a third Players Championship into August's PDC Super Series."
