While some of the standard on show wasn't highest at times on the opening day of Q-School, many stood out with Robert Thornton leading the way in terms of averages.
Thornton hit 104.38 during his Last 256 win over Darryl Pilgrim taking it 5-0 in what was a high point over the course of the day. From there, he lost in the Last 64 to Robert Rickwood.
While, Michael Flynn came out second with 104.05 against Niall Culleton in the Last 32. This was before his day came to an end in the final match.
While Jason Hogg (102.95) and Vladimir Andersen (102.95) rounded out the top five. The latter was mooted as being the highest average ever recorded by a Danish player.
