THROWBACK VIDEO: Durrant takes Lakeside hat-trick after win over Waites in final

The first edition of the WDF World Championship will be played at Lakeside from April 2-10. In the run-up to the start of this tournament, DartsNews looks back at some of the best moments in the history of the great venue.

A two-time defending champion, Glen Durrant traveled to the Lakeside in 2019 to defend his title. Duzza then managed to reach the final for the third time after beating Mark McGrath (3-0), Scott Baker (4-3), Kyle McKinstry (5-2) and Jim Williams (6-3).

Scott Waites became his opponent in the final battle, after Scotty had won 2 Hotty against Richard Veenstra, among others. Both Englishmen were on two Lakeside titles, but it was Durrant who would take his third Lakeside title. The darts player from Middlesbrough was 7-3 too strong for Waites.
