THROWBACK VIDEO: Lewis first darter ever to throw a nine-dart finish in World Darts Championship final

From December 15, the 30th edition of the World Darts Championship at the PDC begins. In the run-up to the start of this tournament, DartsNews looks back on beautiful and remarkable events from the history of the World Championship.

Adrian Lewis made history in 2011 by becoming the first - and for now the only - darter ever to throw a nine darter in a World Darts Championship final. Jackpot threw his perfect leg in the final against Gary Anderson.

It already hit in the third leg of the first set, when Lewis managed to finish a leg within nine arrows. Later, he got to cheer again. The darter from Stoke-on-Trent defeated Anderson 7-5 in sets to win his first of now two world titles.
