THROWBACK VIDEO: Taylor wins Premier League Darts in 2010 after legendary final with two nine darters

Thursday night, the play-offs of Premier League Darts will be played at the O2 Arena. Ahead of this denouement, we look back at special moments during the play-offs in the past.

In 2010, Phil Taylor made history by throwing two nine-starters in one game during the play-offs of the Premier League Darts.

'The Power' remains the only darter ever to have thrown two perfect legs in one match in a televised match. The 16-time world champion faced James Wade in the final. 'The Machine' put up a good fight, but thanks to two nine-starters, the final was decided 10-8 in Taylor's favour.

Besides The Power, Michael van Gerwen has also once produced two nine darters in one match. The Vlijmen native did so during a stream match at a Pro Tour tournament.
