The UK Open is due to take place this weekend with a return to Minehead and Michael van Gerwen will aim to add his first major since 2020 Players Championship Finals in familiar surroundings.
DartsNews looks back at some of the best moments and matches from over the years in this tournament and one of the best came from Van Gerwen back in 2016.
Rob Cross' emergence came in this tournament back in 2016 but he met a Van Gerwen towards the peak of his powers.
He hit a 170 checkout followed by a nine-darter followed by another 170 in one of the finest displays.
