With the PDC World Darts Championship set to begin later today, DartsNews takes a look at the highest averages in the history of the showpiece tournament.
Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld lead the way with MVG producing a best of 114.05 during his semi-final win over Barney back in 2017.
Taylor is second and third with 111.21 and 110.94 during 2002 and 2009 victories over Shayne Burgess and Raymond van Barneveld.
The latter sits fourth with that 2017 semi-final defeat to MVG which was the highest ever losing effort with 109.34.
From there only Gary Anderson with 108.39 against Andy Smith in 2011 is the only other name on this list with the aforementioned trio dominating.
