The attention of the darting world turns to The Masters this weekend with the PDC revealing the top five moments in the history of the tournament.
5. Chisnall's brilliant comeback to defeat Thornton
As we looked at on
Tuesday in our throwback video series, one of the standout moments was revealed to be Dave Chisnall defeating Robert Thornton. The former was 8-0 down and looked on the verge of heading out of the tournament before powering past Robert Thornton in a brilliant win.
4. Van Gerwen dazzles in all Dutch final at 2015 Masters
The 2015 final saw Michael van Gerwen hit the highest recorded average seen in the event at 112.49 as he powered past Raymond van Barneveld 11-6 in an all-Dutch affair.
Van Barneveld had led 3-2 before 161 and 157 helped Van Gerwen towards an 8-4 lead. He also missed double 12 for a nine darter but from there won his eighth televised title, how far he has come since then.
3. MVG claims hat-trick with victory over Anderson
Van Gerwen made it three
Masters wins on the bounce in 2017 with an 11-7 victory over Gary Anderson. He hit a 109 average in an excellent display with Anderson not playing poorly averaging around the 104 mark.
Despite that, it was emphatic for Mighty Mike who since then has won every Masters title since and will look to make it a sixth in a row this time around.

2. MVG denies 108 average and 13 maximums from Chisnall
As you can see in the picture above, 2015 was the year of Van Gerwen at The Masters and en route he denied Dave Chisnall in an epic.
The latter hit 13 180s as well as a 108.9 average but he was edged out 10-9 by the Dutchman in typical fashion with a 126 checkout in the decider confining Chisnall to a defeat with the highest losing average in the history of the tournament.
1. Wade produces epic comeback to deny King
One match though trumps the lot and that is James Wade against Mervyn King which saw a comeback of epic proportions from 9-2 down to defeat King in an 11-10 victory to end his three year wait for a televised title.
He reeled off seven out of eight legs with King missing seven match darts and from there when an eighth match dart went begging Wade pounced with a 135 checkout to seal it in one of the best comebacks in darting history.
