The European Championship will be into it's 13th year this time around and starting on Thursday afternoon. We take a look at the top ten highest match averages in tournament history.
Phil Taylor holds the top three places with 118.14 during a 10-3 Quarter-Final win over Gary Anderson in 2009. In the two rounds prior, he averaged 110.88 and 111.03 both of which appear in the list.
His effort of 113.92 is next up from 2008 when he defeat Mervyn King 9-3 as well as his semi-final win over Robert Thornton where he hit 113.33.
Michael van Gerwen appears three times on the list with his first being back in 2016 when he claimed the title with 111.62. He is also further down with 111.00 from 2014 and 110.32 from 2018.
The latest effort on the list comes from Jonny Clayton who hit 111.33 last year during the Last 32, can anyone add themselves to the list?
