The European Darts Matchplay will be played for the sixth time. In 2015, 2017 and 2018 Michael van Gerwen sealed this European Tour tournament. James Wade (2016) and Joe Cullen (2019) won the other two editions. In 2020 and 2021 the event did not take place due to the corona pandemic.
