Gerwyn Price's PDC
World Darts Championship dream came to a shuddering halt in the fourth round with Brendan Dolan accounting for the no.5 seed who wasn't able to make a march towards a second world title.
Dolan who has form for knocking out the big names and lost to Price exactly three years ago to the day at the same stage exacted some revenge and 'The History Maker' could yet face Gary Anderson and then Luke Littler and who could bet against him in his giant killing form.
Price as ever took to his Instagram story post match and shared his frustration at the exit before giving praise to his opponent.
“Absolutely gutted with the chances I gave away tonight, trying too hard and beating myself up," he wrote on Instagram.
“Just want to say how much I appreciate the crowd that got behind me. Just couldn't get a flow and Brendan took out every chance I gave him. Well done to him and hopefully I'll learn from this.”
