From Friday, March 7 to Sunday, March 9, the
Belgian Darts Open 2025 is scheduled at the Oktoberhallen in Wieze. The Belgian venue is hosting the first Euro Tour tournament of the year. It is the fourth time this
European Tour tournament will be held.
The tournament will be broadcast by PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the Belgian Darts Open consists of three tournament days with two sessions daily. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12:00, while the evening sessions start at 18:00.
Many big names are competing in the first Euro Tour tournament of the season. All the world's top players have signed up for this seasonal opener. Defending champion Luke Littler is there, as well as Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright, Nathan Aspinall, James Wade, Gary Anderson and Dimitri van den Bergh. They are all among the top-16 seeded players and will enter the tournament from the second round.
In addition to the top 16 world rankings, the 16 best Pro Tour players were also guaranteed participation. They do have to start the tournament from the first round. This includes Ross Smith, Michael Smith, Ryan Searle, Josh Rock and home hope Mike de Decker.
The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Pro Tour players are then paired with one of the 16 players who managed to get through the various qualifying tournaments. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. The conclusion of the tournament follows on Sunday, with the third round first in the afternoon session. Sunday evening the quarter-finals, semifinals and finals will follow.
Luke Littler managed to win the Belgian Darts Open on his Euro Tour debut last year by beating Rob Cross 8-7 in the final. 'The Nuke' then provided a spectacular highlight by producing a nine darter. The two previous editions of this event were won by Dave Chisnall (2022) and Michael van Gerwen (2023).
