The Dutch Darts Championship will take place between Friday May 23 to Sunday May 25. The event in the Netherlands is the seventh European Tour tournament of the season and our TV Guide shows you how to watch
Leading the seeds is World Number One, Luke Humphries. He will be joined as expected by home hero Michael van Gerwen as well as other top players including Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson and defending champion Josh Rock.
Rock won the title last year by defeating Jonny Clayton in the final. Luke Littler though is absent. The 18-year-old prodigy has decided to not play the last few European Tour events with a busy summer ahead for 'The Nuke'. Premier League ends soon so presumably he will likely be back playing these tournaments again.
Four editions of this tournament have been played since its inception in 2018. The first edition took place in Maastricht and was won by Ian White, who settled with Ricky Evans (8-5) in the final. Four years later, the Dutch Darts Championship moved to Zwolle. Then it was Michael Smith who lifted the cup. Bullyboy' triumphed 8-7 in the final against Danny Noppert, so far the only Dutch finalist in the history of this event.
Since the 2022 edition, this tournament does appear annually on the Euro Tour calendar. It did get a different location for the third time in a row. In 2023 it was Leeuwarden that hosted the Dutch Darts Championship. The title was a triumph for Dave Chisnall after an 8-5 victory over Luke Humphries. Starting in 2024, the event will be held in Rosmalen, which is now playing for the second year in a row. Josh Rock is the defending champion after taking the win against Jonny Clayton (8-4).
It is one of the only visits outside of Germany that the European Tour takes with Rosmalen next up which also hosts ProTour tournaments. It will no doubt see a heavy contingent of Dutch fans supporting their top names.
But what about watching from home, DartsNews has all the information you need to watch it from Friday - Sunday when a champion will be crowned in Holland. It is mainly shown through an online subscription model over normal TV.

How to watch this weekend

1. Go to video.pdc.tv and click subscribe.
2. Passes are available from £2.99 for a day pass, £4.99 for three-days and yearly costs £49.99. This also gives you access for the monthly and yearly options to priority sales to PDC tournaments.

In addition these tournaments are also shown on betting sites with a minimum balance and a bet used to gain access to the stream. Unlike Viaplay and also Pluto TV which are routes to watch it on TV throughout Europe, the UK doesn't have a TV option meaning it has to be watched over the usual PDCTV route.
