From Friday, June 21 to Sunday, June 23, the 2024 European Darts Open is scheduled at the Ostermann-Arena in Leverkusen. The German city is hosting the eighth Euro Tour tournament of the year. It is the eleventh time that this Euro Tour tournament will be held.

The tournament will be broadcast by PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the European Darts Open consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12 p.m., while the evening sessions start at 6 p.m.
Many big names are competing in the last European Tour tournament before the summer break. Michael van Gerwen, Luke Humphries, Gary Anderson, Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright, Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, James Wade and Luke Littler all appear on the list of participants among many other notable names.
The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Order of Merit qualifiers and the winners from the various qualifying tournaments then make their appearance. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. Sunday will see the conclusion of the tournament, starting with the third round in the afternoon session. Sunday evening will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.
The European Darts Open is one of the longest running Euro Tour tournaments. The first edition was played back in 2012, when it was won by Raymond van Barneveld. Michael van Gerwen is the record winner of this tournament with five titles. In 2023, this event was won by Gerwyn Price, who was too strong for Dirk van Duijvenbode in the final 8-7.
