From Friday, September 6 to Sunday, September 8, the
Flanders Darts Trophy 2024 is scheduled at the Antwerp XPO in Antwerp. The Belgian city is hosting the tenth Euro Tour tournament of the year. It is first that this Euro Tour tournament will be held.
The tournament will be broadcast by PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the Flanders Darts Trophy consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12:00, while the evening sessions start at 18:00.
Many big names are competing in the event in Belgium. The seeds are headed up by Luke Humphries, while Dave Chisnall, Gerwyn Price, Ross Smith, Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen are also among the top-16 seeded players.
The sixteen Order of Merit qualifiers were also assured of an automatic spot at the Flanders Darts Trophy but must start from the first round. This includes Daryl Gurney, Joe Cullen, Jonny Clayton, Raymond van Barneveld, James Wade, Peter Wright, Dimitri van den Bergh and Dirk van Duijvenbode. Via the Tour Card qualification tournament, Alan Soutar, Cameron Menzies and Gabriel Clemens among others, managed to secure their entry for this event. Four more Belgians will be added to the field via the Host Nation Qualifier on Sept. 5.
The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Order of Merit qualifiers and the winners from the various qualifying tournaments then make their appearance. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. Sunday will see the denouement of the tournament, starting with the third round in the afternoon session. Sunday evening will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.
