Unstoppable Gerwyn Price fires 112 average in demolition of Ryan Searle at German Darts Grand Prix after Josh Rock stuns Michael Smith

Gerwyn Price has advanced to the quarter-finals at the German Darts Grand Prix in phenomenal fashion. 'The Iceman' left Ryan Searle penniless 6-0, throwing a 112.73 average in the process, his highest ever average on the Euro Tour.

Price broke Searle in the first leg with a 12-darter and doubled the lead with a 13-darter. A second break followed in the third leg with an 11-darter, after he managed to throw two 180s that leg.

Not until the fourth leg did Searle get his first chance at the double, but tops was missed. Price then hit a 16-darter to make it 4-0. In the fifth leg Searle again failed to hit the double 20, after which Price made it 5-0 with a 14-darter. The Welshman then finished with a 14-darter.

Price will face former junior world champion Josh Rock in the quarterfinals on Monday night, who floored former world champion Michael Smith in the third round.

The first four legs of the match between Rock and Smith all ended in a break. In the fifth leg, Rock was the first player to keep his own leg. The following legs went right along with the darts, until Smith missed a chance at tops in the tenth leg for 5-5. Rock then found the double 5 to make the final score 6-4.
