Update World Championship qualifying tournament: Scott Waites, Jeff Smith and Jeffrey De Zwaan among early casualties

We are one step closer to knowing the complete line up of players at the World Darts Championship. The qualifying tournament in Barnsley is well underway and after the first round, some big names have already departed.

Well-known names such as Scott Waites, Adam Gawlas, Jose Justicia, Jeff Smith, Jeffrey De Zwaan and the Belgian Brian Raman have also been eliminated. They can therefore also permanently draw a line under participation in the World Darts Championships.

Conversely, players such as Richie Burnett, Ted Evetts, Darren Webster and Mensur Suljovic are all among the early winners and are through to the second round.
