Raymond van Barneveld won through against Nathan Aspinall as his retirement tour continues and he made a strong impression claiming a 6-2 victory.
Van Barneveld said that he feels confident and that he can do better in the coming rounds. In terms of his tactics against Aspinall, he admitted that he played the board, he didn't play Aspinall.
He added that there's no pressure and that winning every round for him is a bonus and that the belief is very much there that he can beat the best in the world.
"My form is there and I can do better than this but I feel confident," said the veteran Dutchman. "Nathan has had a great year so I was warned and he's a phenomenal player but I play the board.
"There's no pressure on me and every single round is a bonus, so I just want to play as well as I can. I'm practising well and I believe in myself and everyone knows that if I play my game I can beat anyone in the world."
