Dimitri van den Bergh will face Fallon Sherrock in the semi-finals of the Nordic Darts Masters in Copenhagen after seeing off Gary Anderson in a 10-8 win for the Belgian.
Van den Bergh and Anderson both weren't at their best with an 88.5 average for the victor and 88.2 for 'The Flying Scotsman' but he is through with nine 180's to his name.
To begin the tie, Anderson took the initial advantage going 2-1 ahead despite an average of just 80.
But back-to-back legs for Van den Bergh brought him into a 3-2 lead before three missed darts at doubles from Anderson allowed the Belgian a 4-2 lead.
It was Van den Bergh's opportunity to squander a leg as he made a mess closing out his throw and Anderson broke to make it 4-3 before securing parity at 4-4.
At the interval though, it was advantage Van den Bergh as he went 6-4 up. His dominance continued going 7-5 up with a break before consolidating with a seventh 180 and a 65 finish to make it 8-5.
This is where Anderson came back though with his back against the wall as he claimed three legs on the spin to make it 8-8 suddenly as Van den Bergh stalled.
But just as it looked like Anderson was finding his way back in, Van den Bergh closed the door slightly by going one away with a ninth 180 and double 16 to make it 9-8.
A poor leg for Anderson sealed his fate as Van den Bergh broke to secure the win 10-8.
