Van den Bergh edges past Ratajski to reach World Series of Darts final in Amsterdam

Dimitri van den Bergh has reached the final of the 2021 World Series of Darts Finals at AFAS Live in Amsterdam and will face Michael van Gerwen or Jonny Clayton shortly.

Van den Bergh produced an 11-8 win with a 96 average and seven 180's to defeat Krzysztof Ratajski who didn't have his rock solid double game hitting 8/33 compared to 11/36 from 'The Dreammaker'.

The opening few legs went with throw but Van den Bergh hit the front with a break of throw to go 3-2 ahead at the interval.

He didn't break for long though with Ratajski taking out 66 for 4-4 after Van den Bergh missed double 16 for a 101 checkout.

Ratajski took the lead once more though at 5-4 before Van den Bergh pounced on three missed darts at doubles which allowed the Belgian to go 6-5 up.

They both exchanged break after break though with Ratajski though regaining the upper hand at the interval sitting at 8-7 after Van den Bergh missed 161 on the bull.

But the game flipped on its head once more as Van den Bergh produced what proved to be pivotal in a 121 checkout on the bull to go 9-8 ahead.

This was due to more missed darts at double from Ratajski and Van den Bergh held throw to go one away at 10-8 before sealing the deal.
