Van den Bergh ends Noppert's run, set to face Van Duijvenbode in Dutch Darts Masters final

Dimitri van den Bergh's bid for back-to-back World Series of Darts titles continues at the Dutch Darts Masters and has seen 'The Dreammaker' dent the Dutch Dream of the potential for two of their home hopes reaching the final after seeing off Danny Noppert 7-2.

He will now aim to see off another Dutchman now in Dirk van Duijvenbode after a ruthless display to defeat the UK Open champion which included a 170 checkout to take full control of the tie and a 1`13 checkout to seal it.

Early on, he was averaging 115 and hitting 12 and 10 darters and breezed en route to going into a 4-0 lead. Noppert finally stopped the rot on double five to attempt to begin his turnaround.

But after getting it back to 4-2, those hopes were sent crashing down by a big fish from Van den Bergh to make it 5-2. Missed doubles haunted Noppert and Van den Bergh took out 25 to move one away from victory before sealing the deal with that 113.
