Van den Bergh hits 105 average in superb straight sets victory over Lim

Dimitri van den Bergh has began his PDC World Darts Championship campaign in style with a straight sets win over Paul Lim averaging 105.6 in the process.

Van den Bergh also hit six 180's and 53% on the doubles as he defeated the legendary Singapore Slinger with a marker now laid down by the World Matchplay champion.

Van den Bergh produced a brilliant start to proceedings sweeping the first set with three 180's and a 115 average as he took the game to the legendary 'Singapore Slinger'.

Lim took out 75 to claim the opening leg of set two and get himself on the board but this was a mere consolation as Van den Bergh took out 121 on the bull and sealed the second set 3-1 with his average still towards the 110 mark.

Van den Bergh finished the job from there with a 3-1 legs win in a dazzling start to his campaign at the Alexandra Palace.
