Van den Bergh on finding out about Premier League spot: “I opened a bottle of champagne and we celebrated”

Dimitri Van den Bergh is another player who will make his Premier League debut in full next week.
Van den Bergh described the feeling from having people tell him he was basically in after the World Matchplay to how he felt when he got the phone call.
“A lot of people were telling me Dimi after the World Matchplay win you’re going to be in, you’re going to be one of those ten players,” said Van den Bergh to The Darts Show.
“The moment that I did get the news that I was selected to play in the Premier League, I opened a bottle of champagne with my missus and we celebrated.”
“Being a contender in the Premier League a couple of years ago and that feeling being on that stage in front of that crowd, it was so insane.”
