De Sousa ahead of Premier League Darts debut: “I’m with the best players in the world so I think anything is possible”

Jose de Sousa is among three debutants in this years Premier League Darts after his remarkable Grand Slam triumph.
De Sousa received an invite after winning his first major title in 2020. Nevertheless the Portuguese did not count on participation in this competition.
“Well it was a big surprise for me, I didn’t expect it at all,” said De Sousa to The Darts Show. “In that moment I feel so emotional I can’t speak.”
“It’s really difficult to come inside and play the Premier League so for me, it’s a great feeling. I’m with the best players in the world so I think anything is possible”

- I've always thought the top 24 should be made up of major winners and runners up then Euro tour followed by PC tour winners - if you don't have 24 after that then have some qualifiers.Thomas Moffatt03-11-2024
