Dimitri van den Bergh has claimed his first win in his maiden
Premier League Darts campaign by seeing off Nathan Aspinall in a superb fightback 7-5.
Van den Bergh came from 5-3 down to see off Aspinall averaging 103.7 despite missing 19 darts at double to back up his solitary point on the opening night against Michael van Gerwen.
Van den Bergh took the opening leg and the impetus to begin the tie surging into a 3-1 lead after Aspinall had missed one dart at double 16 in leg four.
But Aspinall was soon back in the tie as he smashed in a 144 checkout to trail 3-2 as it was Van den Bergh's turn to miss doubles.
It was three legs in a row for Aspinall as he moved 4-3 up but it was soon level again with Van den Bergh finding double six too make it 5-5.
Van den Bergh continued his fightback as he came from 5-3 down to secure at least a point at 6-5 up.
It was four legs on the spin as he concluded with a sublime victory with an 87 checkout on the bull with Aspinall sat on 52 for a point.
