Dimitri van den Bergh is into the semi-finals and will play Krzysztof Ratajski later in the
World Series of Darts Finals after a superb tie against his World Cup teammate, Kim Huybrechts.
Huybrechts came from 4-0 down to level at 7-7 against Van den Bergh but a missed dart at double 20 towards the end saw his hopes diminished and Van den Bergh sealed it with a 100 average 10-8.
Van den Bergh surged into an early lead against Huybrechts with back-to-back 87 finishes seeing him break and a second 11-darter seeing him 3-0 up with a 121 average.
Huybrechts finally got off the mark with a 116 checkout to sit 4-1 down at the interval and kept pace with an 81 checkout seeing him look to turn the tables fully to make it 6-5.
A break back ensued for Van den Bergh who hit back-to-back 180's and double 10 for a 7-5 lead. But Huybrechts came back again with a 100 checkout seeing him draw it level at 7-7.
They continued to jostle with a crucial 107 checkout on the bull seeing Huybrechts level it once more at 8-8 but after missing a dart at double 20, this proved pivotal as Van den Bergh went one away and claimed the tie from there.
