Jurjen van der Velde is making strides in both the Development Tour and Challenge Tour now this season with the rising Dutchman sealing his maiden title in Event 13.
It adds to a title on the Development Tour in 2022 but now Event 13 goes the way of Van der Velde on the Challenge Tour. It sees three Dutch winners in a row with Danny van Trijp and Gian van Veen sealing wins yesterday. He defeated Robert Owen 5-3 in the final.
Spots on the ProTour as reserves and Tour Cards for 2023 and 2024 can be earned on this tour. The number one and two on the Challenge Tour ranking will be offered a PDC Tour Card at the end of the season for the next two seasons. In addition, they can also participate in the World Darts Championship.
