The second semi-final is confirmed at the 2022
Czech Darts Open with
Vincent van der Voort facing
Rob Cross and this joins Jose de Sousa facing Luke Humphries with the winner set to be confirmed shortly in Prague.
In lieu of his best friend Michael van Gerwen losing in the Quarter-Finals, Van der Voort will fly the Dutch flag with his first semi-final on the
European Tour in three years with a potential first final in seven years.
He ended the darting dream for Adam Gawlas who had the crowd on his side but potentially showed signs of fatigue in losing out 6-2 with Van der Voort hitting two 180's and hitting 42.9% of his doubles.
Gawlas broke to go 2-1 up on double 20 but Van der Voort hit straight back and broke from there to go 4-2 up and as he got stronger the resolve of 'Flawlas' dampened as Van der Voort sealed it with a 67 checkout.
Having won a European Tour before, he will look to add a second title tonight and will next face the only player still involved without one in Rob Cross.
Albeit being the reigning European Champion but in moving through, he saw off Ross Smith 6-4 to book his place hitting a 92 average, four 180's and 40% on his doubles.
