Van Duijvenbode tops total 170 finishes as Players Championship season concludes

Dirk Van Duijvenbode has claimed an accolade this year on the ProTour alongside his maiden title and that being the most 170 finishes in Players Championship tournaments.
Van Duijvenbode leads the way with 7 in all ahead of a small group of players all on four each including Nathan Aspinall, Ryan Searle and Dimitri van den Bergh.
While the likes of Kim Huybrechts, Brendan Dolan and Jose de Sousa all finished on three each.
This brings up an overall total of 97 showing an average of three 170 checkouts per tournament with 30 in all.

How about a list of players who have won individual tournaments since the Players Championship inception.
It’s been running for 13 years now so would be interesting to see a full list of tournament winners.
MVG would surely top the list. Looking at his record he has won a total of 30.
Peter Wright has 21 wins.
Gary Anderson has 24 wins.

- I agree. There needs to be a points system and preferably just a rolling one year. World Championship should earn the most points though it can be argued that the current qualification system does see a fair few players qualify from regional country qualifiers who would struggle to hold down a place on the Pro Tour. If prize money won is going to remain as the determining factor for ranking then the World Championship should just consist of the 128 Tour Card Holders. Another option would be to take the World Championship out of the rankings and have it as the stand alone pinnacle that you qualify for by winning certain tournaments or your ranking position, sort of like a GSOD+.Mysstree05-04-2025
