Draw made for 2021 Grand Slam of Darts: Anderson, Smith and Van Barneveld set for 'Group of Death'

The draw has been made ahead of the 2021 Grand Slam of Darts which is due to take place between November 13-21 at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton.

Players were allocated into pots before the draw was made with pot 1 seeing all the main names together so they can't be drawn in the same group and this goes all the way down with ranking being the main factor.

World Number One, Gerwyn Price is in Group A and has a tough route to navigate if he is going to become three-time champion. He will have rock solid Krzysztof Ratajski, German ace Martin Schindler and Development Tour runner-up, Nathan Rafferty.

Group B sees multiple major winner, Jonny Clayton as eighth seed and is in a group with Mervyn King, Bradley Brooks who is World Youth Champion as well as the EU Development Tour winner Rusty-Jake Rodriguez.

Group C sees James Wade and Rob Cross together as UK Open and European Champions collide with a tough assignment also with multiple soft tip World Champion 'The Biggest' Boris Krcmar and also UK Challenge Tour champion and former BDO World finalist, Jim Williams.

Group D sees Chris Dobey who replaced Dimitri van den Bergh alongside the in-form Stephen Bunting, Ryan Joyce and World Cup finalist, Rowby-John Rodriguez.

Group E is headlined by Peter Wright who has Gabriel Clemens, Mike de Decker and he will also play Fallon Sherrock who will grab all the headlines against 'Snakebite'.

A tough assignment awaits the defending champion in Group F as he will face Luke Humphries, Mensur Suljovic and Canadian ace and recent EU Challenge Tour champion, Matt Campbell.

Michael van Gerwen will face Lisa Ashton on the opening night and he will also lock horns again with Joe Cullen after their ridiculous battle on the ProTour this past week. With John Henderson finalising the line-up.

Before a self styled Group of Death to wet the appetite as Gary Anderson faces Michael Smith and the returning Raymond van Barneveld as well as World Youth finalist, Joe Davis who will aim to ruffle some feathers among some greats of the game.
