Van Gerwen advises Price against charity boxing match: "It's not the best decision to make in your life"

Michael van Gerwen does not think it is a wise choice for Gerwyn Price to participate in a charity boxing match on Saturday 9 April.

Price is set to face a former professional boxer next Saturday raising money for charity but believes it isn't the best decision to mix sports.

“I don’t think boxing is good for your body, I think you can get injured. I think it’s not the best decision to make in your life but Gerwyn is Gerwyn. He always does things differently so that’s his own thing. I don’t think he’s going to do the fight now with his hand. I’d be surprised. It’s something he likes to do and good luck," he said as reported by Daily Star.

Asked whether he would ever do the same, he responded: “No! What do I look like? A boxer or a dart player?"
