Van Gerwen battles past Cross, set to face Brown in German Darts Grand Prix Quarter-Finals

The penultimate Quarter-Final has been confirmed at the German Darts Grand Prix with Michael van Gerwen once again defeating Rob Cross as he looks to seal the title in Munich again.

Van Gerwen will be favourite to do so as he takes on Keegan Brown later on for a spot in the semi-finals.

This after 'Mighty Mike' sealed a 6-3 win over Cross averaging 103.7 in the process with 'Voltage' averaging 101.8 to no avail as he heads out. The Dutchman finished it with a flourish as he took out 126 to claim it.

While 'The Needle' will be eager to dump out 'Mighty Mike' later on as he continues his return to form.

The former World Youth Champion who is heading into a pivotal year when it comes to Tour Card survival saw off Madars Razma 6-4 to move through in a scrappy affair.
